If you are attending the CBF General Assembly
in Memphis, please volunteer for one of the teams that CBF of AR is
sponsoring:
USHER TEAM led by Jim Maloch (jmaloch@sbcglobal.net). We need
150 volunteers who are willing to show up before the big event, help
distribute handouts, greet people coming into the big room,
collecting the offering, and other usher-type activities. Ushers
will serve before and during the 5 major big group events on
Thursday and Friday.
FACILITIES SET UP/TAKE DOWN TEAM led by Larry Cheatham (jnlcheatham@att.net).
We need 20-30 volunteers who are able to lift and set up resource
displays for CBF (not for all the other vendors). This team will
begin working on Wednesday morning and then again on Friday night
after the 10 p.m. fellowship. You will work until about 1:30 a.m.
Saturday morning. Yes, it’s a late night but it’s fun and a great
team building experience for CBF of AR. You may also be asked to
bring in baby beds, infant toys for the childcare area and a few
other ongoing situations that arise and need a crew to move some
items.
LOCAL TRANSPORTATION TEAM led by Ron DuPriest (Ronald.dupriest@usarec.army.mil).
We need about 10 volunteers, who are familiar in helping set up and
organize local transportation needs. Ron has years of experience
with this in the National Guard. We are talking with a local
transportation company about arrangements for helping to move people
from area hotels to FBC Memphis for the Wednesday night Global
Missions Commissioning Service and other events Thursday and Friday
at the Cook Convention Center.
In addition, to signing up for one of these teams, when you know of
someone from Arkansas who is attending the General Assembly, will
you ask them to volunteer for one of these teams and let that Team
Leader know? Thank you!
