Giving Campaign For Together for Hope Arkansas in honor of Mollie, Stacy and Catherine

Dear Friends, Supporters and Partners of Together for Hope Arkansas,

CBF Arkansas and the Delta Hope, Inc. (Together for Hope Arkansas) Board are launching a Together for Hope Arkansas Giving Campaign in honor of Mollie Palmer, Stacy Henderson and Catherine Bahn.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 between now and the end of the summer.

Your first opportunity to help us reach our $50,000 goal will be through Arkansas Gives on Thursday, April 7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

You can go to, look for the DONATE NOW button, and give to Together for Hope Arkansas.

The dollars you give will be matched by Arkansas Gives based on the proportion of the total that TFHAR receives April 7th.  That means TFHAR will receive extra dollars when you give to TFHAR through Arkansas Gives on April 7th.

Last year, which was the first year for Arkansas Gives, TFHAR received $9,000.  Help us hit that amount out of the ballpark this year in honor of Mollie, Stacy and Catherine!

Please see Kelsey Riley’s promotion for TFHAR through Arkansas Gives on our Together for Hope Facebook page by clicking on the image below:

So far, the following gifts have been committed to TFHAR’s $50,000 goal in honor of Mollie, Stacy and Catherine:

$2,500 from Second Baptist Church, Little Rock;
$2,500 from CBF Global’s Together for Hope;
$1,000 from Second Baptist Church, Memphis; and

$10,000 from CBF Arkansas.

Because of our admiration, and appreciation and love for Mollie, Stacy and Catherine, Judy and I plan to make our largest gift to TFHAR in their honor.

In the Greek New Testament, there’s a word for this moment in TFHAR’s history.  The word is kairos.  It means “opportune moment,” “fitting time.”  It is the word used in Galatians 6:9, “let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time (kairos) we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Helena is a historic and charming Arkansas community.  The people of Phillips County and the Arkansas Delta deserve our partnership with them in making the future better for their children and grandchildren.  Together for Hope Arkansas has a 15 year track record in Helena and Phillips County through its founding and leadership by Ben and Leonora Newell and their children, through Catherine, Mollie and Stacy, and through 40 interns and thousands of volunteers and partners.  TFHAR is our opportunity to be the presence of Christ with the people, churches, schools, businesses, governments, non-profit/faith-based/community organizations and foundations in this region of our state.

You can help us reach our goal of $50,000 by giving through Arkansas Gives on Thursday, April 7, 2016 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.   Go to:

If you happen to miss this opportunity you may make your gift to TFHAR in honor of Mollie, Stacy and Catherine by sending your check to CBF Arkansas, at 1504 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Little Rock, AR72202.  Make your check payable to CBF Arkansas with TFHAR on the memo line.  Or, you may give online at our website:
