Ray Higgins has served as coordinator for CBFAR since 2005. He's married to Judy and has two sons, Adam and Ryan. Ray grew up in El Dorado, AR, and is a 1977 graduate of University of Arkansas, having earned a B.A. in Philosophy. He later earned an M. Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1980 and a Ph. D in Religion/Christian Ethics from Baylor University in 1990. Ray has served in a variety of ministry positions -- youth minister, special projects coordinator, seminary ethics professor, and pastor. He is active in race relations initiatives, serves on the medical ethics teaching team at UAMS in Little Rock, has taught ethics in Mexico City and Canada, Ouachita Baptist University & Truett Seminary, has led mission trips to China & Slovakia, and is an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan.

Charles Ray has served as CBFAR Special Projects Coordinator and CBF National Disaster Response Coordinator since 2005. He was born in Springfield, MO, and grew up in Little Rock, AR, only a few blocks away from the CBFAR offices on the campus of Arkansas Baptist College. Charles has led in a variety of ventures, including starting a successful business while still in college, serving as Arkansas Finance Chairman for the Democratic National Committee, and later renovating condemned, historic buildings in downtown Little Rock and designing a prototype shower trailer CBF disaster response. Charles continues to use his skills in renovating historic buildings through the CBFAR parternship with Arkansas Baptist College by overseeing ABC's historic home renovations. He enjoys classical music and is a loving and devoted father.

Catherine Bahn became Co-Director of Together for Hope Arkansas on December 1, 2011. She previously served as assistant director. Catherine, a native of Jonesboro, Ark., graduated with a degree in Journalism from Arkansas State University in 2008. Her previous experience includes working as the Community Outreach Coordinator at Our House Shelter in Little Rock, Ark.; interning as a reporter with the Roma Press Agency in Kosice, Slovakia; and writing about community
development in Phillips County, Ark., one of 20 poorest counties in the United States. In addition to work, Catherine enjoys hanging out with her family, teaching kids how to throw a Frisbee, playing music, and long
Delta drives.

 

Mollie Palmer

Mollie Palmer became Co-Director of Together for Hope Arkansas on December 1, 2011. She previously served as assistant director. Mollie grew up in the Little Rock area and graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Journalism in 2007.  She served as a Student.Go intern with Together For Hope in the summer of 2008, and worked for Girl Scouts - Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas and the Arkansas Rice Depot in Little Rock before returning to Helena.  Mollie loves cooking and entertaining and taking the Delta Jewels out on the town. 

Megan Corbett

Megan Corbett is CBF of Arkansas’ new part-time Administrative & Communications Specialist. Megan grew up in Sherwood, AR and graduated from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work. While at ASU, Megan was active in First Baptist Jonesboro, and served as a Youth Ministry Intern. She has also served as an intern with two non-profit organizations. This summer she participated in the CBF Together for Hope College Students Road Trip.

 


Gavin McCollum

Gavin McCollum joined the CBFAR staff in October of 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas- Fayetteville where he received a B.A. in Political Science. He has worked on staff at Second Baptist Church in Downtown Little Rock as Summer Ministry Intern and Administrative Assistant to the Pastor. He is attending Duke Divinity School pursuing a Masters in Divinity. In his free time, Gavin enjoys spending time with friends and family and watching award-winning television. Like Ray, Gavin is a die-hard fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
