Position Title: Minister of Music, Oakland Baptist Church, Rock Hill, South Carolina
Our church offers two distinct weekly worship experiences, an expansive music program, a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth, mission and ministry project opportunities, and focused ministries for children, youth, and adults. Our church is an inclusive and open fellowship, seeking to love all people by being the hands and feet of Christ in our community and around the world.
The Minister of Music will be a devoted follower of Christ, hold a music degree, and have a background that includes theological training, experience as a church musician conducting choirs and handbells, and the ability to participate in and/or provide guidance for traditional and non-traditional services. She or he will also be responsible for overseeing other musical activities of the church.
In addition, we hope to fill this position with someone who possesses a variety of gifts beyond music. Our Search Committee is interested in any and all areas of expertise (e.g., teaching, working with children, youth, or senior adults, preaching, technology, spiritual formation, administration, outreach, counseling, visitation, etc.) and encourages the candidate to list these areas and expound upon them in her or his résumé.
Rock Hill, SC is located twenty-five miles south of Charlotte. It is a growing community of 67,000 residents and offers many outdoor recreational activities as well as numerous cultural opportunities. Rock Hill is home to Winthrop University, a public, coeducational institute of higher learning of over 6000 students.

Position Title: Associate Pastor of Youth and Community Engagement, Spring Creek Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Spring Creek Baptist Church is now accepting candidates for Associate Pastor of Youth and Community Engagement. This minister will focus on the particular needs of our youth and their families, using these primary relationships to serve the larger church. The ideal candidate will exhibit a sense of adventure and fun, balanced by the ability to attend to the deep currents of spiritual life for our students. She/he will develop liturgical and social rhythms that give space for reflection and inclusion. Spring Creek Baptist Church is a diverse community, and our youth represent this diversity. The candidate must be able to hold steady in the tension and avoid the temptation of easy answers to this complexity. The Associate Pastor will also be charged with Community Engagement. This encompasses missions, but extends to a holistic understanding of inward and outward congregational energies. She/he will need skills in digital communication technologies, comfort in cultural difference, and the ability to translate local/regional/international needs into our church context. The Associate Pastor is part of worship planning, budgeting, pastoral care, administration, and other general tasks. Spring Creek Baptist Church partners primarily with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, as well as local groups.
