Dr. Ray Higgins

Ray Higgins has served as Coordinator since 2005. He was born in Denver, Colorado and grew up in El Dorado, Arkansas. He’s married and has two post-college sons. He has served as a senior pastor, seminary ethics professor, special projects coordinator, and youth minister. He has degrees from Baylor University (Ph.D. in Religion/Christian Ethics), Southwestern Seminary (M.Div.), and the University of Arkansas (B.A. in Philosophy). Ray continues to teach ethics, part time, with seminaries and colleges and serves on a medical center’s ethics committee. He has led mission trips to Chile, Bulgaria, Canada, China and Slovakia, participated in a disaster response trip to Haiti, and traveled in Europe. He is a loyal Razorback fan.
Janee' Tisby

Janee', a Grandview, Missouri native, graduated from Stephens College in 2006. Janee’ became convicted about the inequities in the education system during her senior year and applied to teach with Teach for America (TFA), a national organization committed to placing teachers in under-resourced school districts. Through her TFA placement, Janee’ taught 5th grade in Indianola, Mississippi, and “fell in love with the challenges and possibilities of the Delta.” Janee' comes to TFHAR after several years working with Teach for America Mississippi, most recently as Chief of Staff. Celebrating her tenth year in her “adopted home,” Janee’ is married to Jemar, a PhD student at the University of Mississippi, and they have a six-year-old son, Jack. According to Janee, Jack is a “professional wild thing” and her “favorite travel buddy.”

Roy split his childhood between Fayetteville and Little Rock and has always called Arkansas home. A graduate of Little Rock Central High School and UALR, he earned his degree in Accounting and Business Administration. His professional career has encompassed business, public accounting, and state government, where he is currently employed. Roy began his career in disaster relief when he and a friend felt the call to serve after Hurricane Katrina and has been involved leading teams on recovery and clean-up/reconstruction ever since. He volunteers, “when he can be useful," at his church and with his son’s Boy Scout troop.

Marty Pike

Marty was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and grew up in Refugio (pronounced Ree-Fury-Oh). He is a graduate of Texas A&M University Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in radio and television. In August of 2014, he completed a Master of Divinity at George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University in Waco.
Marty is the Minister to Children & Youth at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church in Little Rock. He has enjoyed being a part of the spiritual formation of people from ages 0-18 and those who care for the young ones. Marty is married to Megan, who is chaplain resident at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
